The Daily Dumbass: Tami at Moms 4 Sarah Palin

>> Sunday, December 14, 2008

It's amazing the sheer ignorance of some people. Really amazing. So a chick named Tami, who likes to type and write as if she's a martyr suffering on behalf of Sarah Palin, decided to start a blog called "Moms 4 Sarah Palin." I take a look at it every now and then to see what kind of thoughts they seem to be having. John's tend to veer toward nonsense. Not too surprisingly, so do Tami's!

She recently decided to write about how Sarah Palin "redefines" feminism. Interesting, because in one of Palin's interviews toward the end of the campaign, she declined the opportunity to call herself a feminist since she was veering away from "labels" even though she had no problem saying she was a feminist to Katie Couric.

What is it that Tami finds so "feminist" about Sarah Palin?

I have said it before, and it bears repeating: Sarah Palin IS everything the radical left wing feminists are NOT. She is a gorgeous, feminine, God-fearing wife and mother who values life and stands for what is good and right. She represents the vast majority of women in America who hold these same values.
Did you notice something missing in that paragraph? NOWHERE are the words: smart, intelligent, capable, perceptive, honest, clever, quick-witted, adroit, articulate, skilled, ingenious or brillant. What's the first thing that comes to mind for Tami about Sarah Palin? Her looks. Why else would "gorgeous" and "feminine" be what sets Sarah Palin apart? Amazing. Simply amazing. According to Tami's words, Sarah Palin is perfect for a beauty pageant, but apparently not smart enough to tangle with Vladimir Putin.

The majority of Tami's post is really about abortion. Why else make these comments through out it:
On the left, the feminist movement is a broad movement that includes a diverse group of women who hold a radical pro-abortion agenda that appears to drive everything else they strive for.
The movement that seemed to want a female in a position of authority at any cost suddenly began foaming at the mouth because a CONSERVATIVE woman was nominated, one who believes in life.
They believe that when the young woman gets pregnant, we should not stand in her way, at any age, of killing her unborn baby-no matter what stage in the pregnancy she decides to do so.
Most egregious, however, are the criticisms of Sarah for not choosing to abort her son Trig.
Naturally, a commenter (Nicole) called bullshit on Tami's comments regarding abortion.
Now I haven't heard about any feminists who said she should've aborted her son or who said she wasn't fit to be VP and a mother. If they're true, then those women are definitely not fit to be called feminists.
Tami, of course, decided to respond with more blathering:
You are either FOR abortion, or AGAINST abortion. Let's call a spade a spade. You are either FOR killing babies, or you are not. Murder is illegal. The state already assumes the authority to prevent you from murdering another citizen. It's a false argument to say there is no such thing as pro-abortion.
Of course, I should mention that it's almost a small miracle that Nicole's comment was able to appear since Tami has decided not to publish comments that might contradict her own sentiments:
This is primarily a blog where conservatives will be heard when they have the gumption to begin commenting again after so many threats were hurled at them through this blog and theirs, through their email, etc., for the last few months.
So, what the hell, I posted a comment regarding Tami's abortion comment. Who knows if Tami will have the moxie to publish it. But here it is:
Tami, since you state:

"You are either FOR abortion, or AGAINST abortion. Let's call a spade a spade. You are either FOR killing babies, or you are not. Murder is illegal. The state already assumes the authority to prevent you from murdering another citizen. It's a false argument to say there is no such thing as pro-abortion."

How exactly would you plan on enforcing the illegality of abortion? Abortions have always been performed whether they were legal or not. Do you plan on jailing women? Their doctors? Since you say it's "murder," does that mean you think women who have abortions are eligible for the death penalty? And their doctors?
I bet she won't publish it. No balls.

Or brains.

UPDATE (12/14/08, 9:10 PM MST): OMFG! She actually posted it! Wonder if she'll respond directly to it? Perhaps her brain is still struggling with that possibility.
